We have been working
diligently on our new website update. Everything will have been revised
in some shape or form, with many new features. This is an evolutionary
step, not a revolutionary one. Perhaps the most notable characteristic
is that Float Plan Central will be in living color--a slight departure
from our current monochromatic theme. We'll keep you posted as we
approach the launch date. In the mean time, thank you very much for
your patience, and especially, your patronage.

We have revised our Feedback form so that personal
information (email address and name) are not required in order to
provide comments or suggestions about our products or services. Only if
you want a reply will it be necessary to include those details. To
learn more about how we use personally identifiable information, please
read our
Privacy Policy.

refined web appearance.

You
can now enter data directly into the float plan and print it. Depending
on your needs and budget there are three options by Adobe®
from which to choose:
1) Free.
Adobe® Reader®
v5.0 or higher, will allow you to enter and print your float plan
information. It does not allow you to save the data.
That is, every time you prepare the Float Plan you will have to reenter
the data. You can of course enter the data which will not change from
trip to trip, and print as many copies as you like. Then, when you are
ready to go boating, just fill out the remainder of the form by hand and
you're ready to go boating.
Adobe® Reader® is
available from the homepage of Float Plan Central.
2)
Least Expensive.
Adobe® Approval®
v5.0
will allow you to enter, print, save and email the float plan with the
data. It offers the greatest flexibility with the least possible
expense. The ability to e-mail your plan is the ultimate in
convenience. You can purchase
Adobe® Approval®
v5.0
directly from Adobe, or local and Internet retailers who may offer
discount pricing. As with any product you'll need to shop around for
the best price.
3) Most Expensive.
Adobe® Acrobat®
v5.0 or higher. If you already have it, you've got everything you need.

You asked for it... Now
you've got it!
Version
2 of the "Millennium Edition" Float Plan now features full forms fill-in
capability. Now you can enter all of your data directly into the form
using your computer. Or, fill in part now, and the rest later. It's
your call. You can also choose to either to print, or send your plan via
E-Mail, or both, adding an unprecedented level of flexibility and
convenience. For those who use Adobe® Acrobat®, you can save and reuse
the data you've entered on the form. If you have Adobe® Reader® you can
enter data into the form and print both the form and the data, or save
or send the form without the data.
There have been other enhancements too. The "Propulsion" section now
allows you to specify both primary and auxiliary propulsion methods,
horsepower, and fuel capacity. Particularly appropriate for those who
normally operate under sail, and also useful for smaller vessels that
utilize a trolling motor for fishing. Finally, the "Safety & Survival"
section features a return of the "Food/Water" field under the
"Medial/Health" subsection.
